MIKE BAILEY

Principal – Knoxville, TN

Bailey Insurance Service began February 1, 1994 in the basement of Mike Bailey’s home. He started his independent agency with one phone, one computer, and one empty four-drawer file cabinet. Previously, Mike had ten years of success with a multi-line captive company, and had plenty of relationships on which to build his quality organization.

Mike is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and former three year veteran book salesman for the Southwestern Company. Married to wife Kim of 20 years, they have three daughters: Katie, McKenzie, and Caroline.

Mike Bailey has over 25 years of experience and knowledge as an insurance agent. He contributes his time and resources to superb organizations such as, the Dream Connection, Reach Them 2 Teach Them, the Ed Bailey Foundation, and the Rotary Club of West Knoxville. He is an active member of First Baptist Church of Concord, and Partners in Christ.

Katie Bailey Maners

Personal Lines Account Manager & Office Manager

Katie is the second generation of Bailey’s at Bailey Insurance Service. She grew up in Knoxville, went to Farragut High School, and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in English. Katie and her husband, Chris, live in Louisville with their two sons, Walker and Wyatt. Katie got her insurance license in 2010 and began working at Bailey Insurance Service full-time in 2012. Katie loves taking care of people and spending time with family, friends, and her dogs, Shooter and Majors.

McKenzie Bailey Kretowski

Marketing and Agency Operations

McKenzie is the second generation of Bailey’s at Bailey Insurance Service. She grew up in Knoxville, went to Farragut High School, and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Marketing and Supply Chain. McKenzie and her husband, Peter, live in Alaska most of the year, where she remotely manages social media and tackles projects to improve the efficiency of operations for the agency. McKenzie’s passions include traveling, practicing Muay Thai, baking, and spending time with her friends and family- especially her nephews!

Fleming Hodges

Producer

Fleming grew up in Knoxville, TN. He went to West High School where he was involved in several sports. He graduated from the Citadel in 2009, and has been an insurance agent with Bailey Insurance Service since 2012. He writes all lines of business, including Commercial, Personal and Life. In his free time, he is a member of Other Brothers at The Episcopal Church of the Ascension and has coached middle school football for West.

Patrick Dunford

Producer

Patrick Dunford has been in the insurance business since 2012 and joined Bailey Insurance Service in early 2016. He graduated from Sullivan Central High School in Kingsport and later attended Walter State Junior College majoring in Golf Course & Turf Grass Management. Patrick specializes in fitting individual client needs and puts an emphasis on long-term relationship building as well as providing excellent customer service. He is originally from Kingsport and loves calling East Tennessee his home. He resides in Knoxville with his wife, Rebekkah and their two children, Landon and Lilah. In his spare time, Patrick enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as playing golf on the weekends.

Justin Howe

Producer

Justin has been in the insurance business since 2018, and with Bailey Insurance Service since early 2019. Raised in north Florida, he has lived in East Tennessee since 2004, graduating from East Tennessee State University with degrees in English and Secondary Education. Justin specializes in business insurance, but his overall goal is to care for his customers comprehensively, protecting their home, auto, and life needs as well. He lives in Knoxville with his wife, Ashley, and their three young children: Nellie, Ebin, and Declan. Justin spends his free time as an avid sports fan and sportswriter, as well as tending to his small animal farm in Karns.

Travis Kilbourne

Commercial Lines Account Manager

Travis has been in the insurance business since 2010 and came to Bailey Insurance Service in 2018. He has an extensive background in various roles of insurance but specializes in commercial insurance. Travis was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Administration in 2008. In his spare time, Travis and his girlfriend, Hannah, spend their time raising their animal family. They have three basset hounds, Knox, Daisy, and Garth, a Yorkie named Louis, and a cat named Chanel. Travis enjoys golf, bowling, and going to the movies.

Kelley Stoner

Customer Service Agent

Kelley was born and raised in the West Knoxville area and is a graduate of Powell High School. She started her career with Bailey Insurance Service in June 2021 and is now licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health. Having previously worked in the healthcare industry, she looks forward to continuing to serve her community with her years of customer satisfaction experience. She resides in Hardin Valley with her husband, Adam, and their son Jacob. In her free time, Kelley enjoys watching her son play football and working with her church, Valley United Methodist Church, through their ministries.

Adam Tripp

Customer Service Agent

Adam was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. Adam has been in customer service for over 20 years and in the insurance industry in customer service and sales since 2013. Adam enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, and daughter Kadance. Adam is a big fan of movies and going on new adventures with his family. In their spare time, the Tripps enjoy car shows across the country and promote their own annual car, truck, & bike show- The Sparks Show held each August. Adam loves all vehicles low, loud, & fast.

Dee Dee Seals

Office Assistant

She was born and raised in Fountain City, and is a graduate of Central High School. She has moved to West Knoxville recently and loves the Hardin Valley area. Dee Dee joined the Bailey Insurance family in May of 2022. As the Office Assistant, Dee Dee has a varied list of duties and responsibilities, but none more important or enjoyed than customer care. She is married to the love of her life, Mark and enjoys hanging out with her family Adam, Heather, Kadance, and Luke. She attends Fountain City United Methodist Church where she volunteers with The Journey Service as a Hospitality Greeter. Her happy place is at the beach deep in a good book.

RECENT INTERNS

Brendan Jarvis

College Intern

Brendan was raised in Karns, Tennessee. He graduated from Christian Academy of Knoxville in 2018, attended University of the Cumberland’s in Williamsburg, Kentucky, and now attends the University of Tennessee. Brendan started at Bailey Insurance in December of 2020 and continued working until August 2022. He handled home inspections, property management, and any special projects that arose. Brendan enjoys coaching wrestling, being outdoors, and cheering for the Vols.

John Fitzgerald

College Intern

John is a 2018 graduate of Grace Christian Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee and attended Bryan College for his bachelor’s degree which was completed in 2021. He interned at Bailey Insurance Service in 2019 and 2020. John loves photography, adventuring with his dog, and sports.

Morgan West

College Intern

Morgan is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Marketing. He interned with Bailey Insurance Service from May 2018 until his graduation in May 2019. Morgan enjoys playing sports, hiking and skiing. He is UT’s #1 fan for football and basketball.
